Hello, on a client’s website, the blog order is incorrectly displayed by ID instead of by publication date.
I’m using Pro with a Cornerstone Archive layout.
Only by setting my custom looper provider to override the default archive looper provider can I change the order to date.
The default archive looper provider should do this automatically, right? At least, it has been doing so far.
Seems to be due to one of the recent updates.
Best regards,
Hannes
Hi Hannes,
Thanks for reaching out.
The Archive Layout uses the WordPress default query, and that means the orderby is overridden through any custom codes or plugins. I would suggest you deactivate the plugins one by one and also deactivate the Child Theme if active. If none of these help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Thank you. I’ve deactivated all plugins, but the blog order is still incorrect.
I’ll send you the login details.
Hi Hannes,
I have checked your website, but since it is a live site, we can’t experiment much without risk. I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Here are the credentials of a duplicated server.
The images are still uploading for a while, but you can test already.
Hello @salilou,
Please be advised that post items being set as “Sticky” will always display first in the blog or archive index.
