Hello, I used a translation service to convert my home page to German. The job is complete and the home page is now in German, but WPML seems to have replaced the page with the correct shortcodes and translated text, but not in a way that Pro can pick up - it’s now in the ‘text’ tab of the editor. If I try to edit the page in Pro, it’s blank or overwritten.

Is this how you’d expect WPML to behave with Pro? I did an experiment with manual translation where it lets me translate each text item one by one, which preserved the Pro saved page. Maybe letting an external service do translation causes an overwrite?

Can’t find a guide for this, so looking for advice, Bill.

Hello There,

Thanks for posting in! Regretfully external service translation is not yet supported with the editor. This is a pending feature functionality to be added with the editor in Pro. For the meantime, you have to do the translation manually.

Hope this explains it briefly.

Thanks, it would be useful if this and other learning points regarding Pro were kept on a status page. Such as the Google Analytics plugin not working etc.
