WPML not displaying in Global Headers

Hello,

I have translated a site manually using WPML, but my menu is a customized header. I have created a header in both languages, but do not see where I can set the translated header to display only on the translated pages (e.g. the header leads back to ES pages even if the site is in EN).

My site is here: http://lh.taliarochmann.com

Thank you

Hi Talia,

Thanks for writing in! Before you can translate the header and footer, you must enable it first in the WPML settings.
Please go to **WPML > Translation Options > Custom posts** and make sure all custom posts are translatable. Then create your header and footer on your default language. Then edit your header and footer, and you can simply click the flag icon at the bottom cornerstone to edit in specific language and translate the header.

Regards.

Hello, thank you for the reply! I did manage to turn on the language translation following your instructions, however now there seems to be some hierarchy issues with the links. Switching languages puts the user on a /en/home page, and from there using the menu appears to append pages to this e.g. becoming /en/home/en/about which break. Is there an easy fix for this?

Thank you!

Hi Talia,

You need to translate the menu too, to make sure links are going to the correct pages. See this guide please:
