WPML - Header: "Uh, Oh! Failed to Create Header..."

Hello,

when I click on the language icons at the bottom right of the Header Builder in Pro (4.0.10) a pop-up asks me to start as a blank slate or copy an existing header. When I click on copy the “Uh, Oh! Failed to Create Header…” message appear.

I tried different things, I checked the permission of users ecc but I’m not able to solve the problem.

Do I need the “WPML Translation Management” add-on for this?

Thanks

Hey @Murakami,

No, you don’t need the WPML Translation Management add-on. There might be a different reason why the header fails to be created. Please first do the following common solutions to ensure that the issue is only happening between WPML and Pro.

  1. Testing For Plugin Conflict
  2. Theme Update
  3. Child Theme
  4. Increasing Php Memory Limit

Only if none of the solutions help, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password
  • FTP access (ask your web host if you’re not familiar with this)

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hello @christian,

secure note is added. I list here some info that you asked:

  1. I tried disabling 1 plugin at the time with no result
  2. theme is updated
  3. child is updated
  4. PHP 7.4.9 - Memory limit 512M

Thank you for your time

Hi @Murakami,

It seems that the Header is not set as translatable through the WPML settings. I went ahead checked the option, and it started working.

Thanks
