WPML conflict?

HI, I’m getting crazy over here and would like to check every possible box.

I have this website www.cleliamattana.com and whenever I try to edit a translated old post it reverts to the original language. I’m using Pro Theme (Child Theme version 1.0 Ethos stack) and the latest WP update and WPML 4.5.5.

The WPML team told me it could be a Theme issue, can you help?
If I try with new articles, translate them and edit the translation, it seems to be ok, But with old articles is not.

An example is : https://cleliamattana.com/de/retina-a-tretinoin-gegen-falten-wirkt-es-erfahrungen-und-preise/

and also its English version.

Can I give you the access username and password so you can check for yourself? I’m pretty desperate here. Thanks!

Hello @klelietta,

Thanks for writing in! I have taken a look at your example post. This post isn’t created with Cornerstone. I also looked at the language translation of the post and still, you are using the WP Editor. This means that you can only translate the post or edit your translations using the WP Editor. You cannot use Cornerstone because only posts or pages built with Cornerstone can be edited with Cornerstone and that includes that WPML translations too.

Kindly check out the secure note below for the different language translations of the post.

If ever you encounter an issue while translating the post using the WP Editor, go to Appearance > Themes and switch to the WordPress default theme and edit your old posts again. This way, you can test whether the theme is causing the issue or not. You may also do the following troubleshooting:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thanks, I never use cornerstone for my articles, so it isn’t that… I will check out your recommendations later and let you know!

Hi @klelietta,

Please let us know if you faced any further issues.

Thanks
