hi there,
i use a shortcode in a text element on my original page. on the translated copy the shortcode stopped working. i deleted it. re-entered it. saved. deleted caches. etc.
please have a look at the secure note.

Hello Kai,

Thanks for writing in! The Essential Grid plugin is not officially compatible with WPML

As a workaround, you can try to create a different grid per language.
Once you created the translated grid, you can use the shortcode of the translated grid in the translated page.

thanks for your reply and tip!
but… my problem is actually that the shortcode is not working in the translated page. i dont need to translate the essential grid itself. i just need the same one (same shortcode) on the translated page (which i created by copying the page with the original language in the cornerstone editor).

I have visited your site and found the issue you described, there might be some different reason behind your reason, I would like to suggest troubleshoot the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3.Child Theme Related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
5.Disabling Cache
6.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none that does not helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

pls find in the secure not 2 staging sites.

are you saying that the shortcode should work in the translated page?

maybe the translation somehow affects the shortcode???

on other pages other shortcodes work fine (contact and the händler finden page https://winsolewpml.chrysalix.de/haendler-finden/)

Hi Kai,

The issue is with your Essential Grid where the source was set to post whereas there was no post for the English language. I went ahead and added 2 sample post with the sample feature image, and it start coming into the page. Please find the URL in the secure note.

that is great news and great work on your side!! thank you soo much!!
i testet it and i have to generate english versions of all posts.
too bad it did not at least show the empty grid. but no posts not grid at all :worried:
