WPML and components translation

Hi,

I’ve now struggled two days with WPML and components translations and can’t get it solved.

I’m using WPML and I have components in use. The issue is I cannot get translated components show up on different languages. I have set WPML settings as should and my process is following:

Component Creation:

  • Create the component in main language (in my case a section with any content under it)
  • Section active --> Manage element --> checkbox “Export Component” --> Save the component
  • Now new section component available under components in page editor and works fine for main language pages

Component Translation:

  • Component open in Cornerstone editor --> Click sub language --> Popup opens, click Copy from main --> sub lang version saved
  • Manually change content and save component

Result. Translated version doesn’t show up on sub lang version (as I’ve chosen in WPML settings not to show components if there are no translation available).

I assume I don’t have to export the translated component because otherwise it gets a new ID and is also available as own element in page editor.

Let me know if I need to provide details for site/admin rights.

Thanks in advance for any help!
