WPML alternatives that works well with Pro

Hello,
We have a multisite with 150+ sites and WPML is becoming way too greedy/heavy with its many tables (that we don’t even need). We only use String Translations to translate a few plugins from english to french.

Are there Pro users who enjoy other alternatives they could share with us?
(Or that successfully shared tables within subsites?)

Regretfully, we have not tested such plugins on our end. I would suggest you please search on the WordPress plugin repository for such a plugin and test it on your end. Please note that we have not tested such a plugin on our end, so we can not recommend any plugins.
