WPBakery Page Builder Wonky after recent update

Hi There,

I just did the update, and man alive, WPBakery is a mess in the backend. It’s not displaying properly at all. And I have a huge list below the editing box of random elements, and they aren’t all showing on the page…it is all shifted over to the left and hiding under the left menu tools.

I’ve always had the “Legacy X Integration” checked off, so I know that isn’t the issue.

I was hoping by re-uploading the theme today, that it would jog the site to look normal in the back end, but to no avail it didn’t do a thing. I’ve also cleared the cache on my server as well as the site, and still no luck.

If you guys could take a look and let me know what you think, that would be amazing. I’d greatly appreciate any advice on how to make this look right again.

Hey Tara,

This has to do with your web host’s handles MIME types or you configured settings related to MIME types. Please contact your web host and show them the following screenshot and ask them why the styles won’t apply.

The latest version Visual Composer works in my test site so this means there’s no bug on the plugin’s end.

I’ve sent over to my host. Let’s see what they say now. :slight_smile: Hopefully it’s something can fix so everything is set right.

Host got back to me and discovered that the

"Checking into this, those MIME errors are because the resources are throwing a “Page Not Found” error: at www.mysite.com. Checking into the server I can see that these files are actually missing from the js_composer plugin which may be the cause here.
What I recommend is to try and reinstall that plugin from a clean source to see if that restores those missing files."

I downloaded the core theme files and just re-uploaded the js composer via SMTP and it did the trick!
Just thought I’d update that on here. All is well.
