WPbakery is creating hundreds of unnecessary wpb_wrapper divs

I found out that WPbakery is creating hundreds of unnecessary wpb_wrapper divs for example in a text block. When you skip a line it is not using
or something but creates another div.

This is extremely bad and when removing all text my page score for example on GTMetrix went from E to B.
Does someone knows why this happens? Can i do something about it?
Maybe some of the updates added this? When website was build i didn’t see this issue, but has been years ago.
