Wpbakery and background video problems continued

I haven’t touched my website in a while and just recently updated it. The visual editor from wpbakery no longer works, I just see the shortcodes and content as if it was in the text editor.

I’ve noticed that the fullwidth background videos was a problem addressed in the change logs and I cleared all my cache like it said. The problem still persists.

How do I log in? It says username doesn’t exist, plus, I’m redirected to Wordpress.com.

And the background video is perfectly working, it’s full-width.

Thanks for updating in! Please keep in mind that there is a known issue when using the WP Bakery front end editor. You are advised to edit the page using the back end editor instead. I have logged in and edited your page. Regretfully I noticed that there are JS errors on the page: http://prntscr.com/hhl9yw

This could be because of the Autoptimize plugin, W3 Total Cache plugin and your SiteGround hosts. Please clear the cache in W3 ToTal Cache and regenerate the JS/CSS scripts in Autoptimize plugin. And lastly, since you are using SiteGround, could you please clear the site cache or disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? I use the “visual” editor and have been using it since the theme came out. Does this not work now and is it going to stay broken? Any news on that?

Hey There,

The front end editor of Visual Composer is known to break easily especially when there is a JS error on the page. This is why we always recommend to use the backend editor. If all goes well in the site, you should be able to use front end editor with no issue just like this in my local testing server.

The visual editor is what I use. I don’t use a front end editor like that. Never even knew it existed. I want this visual editor to stop showing short codes and have it be visual.

Deactivated all those plugins and it didnt fix anything. Flushed cache on siteground site too.

Thanks for updating in! I have logged in and edited a page. There are still a JS error. This is the reason why VC background editor is not showing.

Please do a test for plugin conflict as well. There could be a plugin the created the JS error which affected the Visual Composer scripts from working. If nothing else is working, please re install WordPress Core, the theme and even the Visual Composer plugin.

Uninstalled all non x theme plugins then reactivated them. For some reason it works now and I’m also not seeing a Javascript error. Thanks for looking at it! Everything is good as far as I can tell.
