WPBakery 5.7 Update - Open Design Options - "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page."

Hi,

I’ve just updated to WPBakery 5.7 and am trying to click on this Open Design Options button

and get the error “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Is there a way I can access that page without using the button or change it’s access privileges?

Hello @Feldspar,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully you will need to change the access privilege of the user so that you can have access to that page option. There is no other way.

The user is an Administrator. I’ve tried clicking on the button with multiple administrator accounts with the same results.
Do I need to changes privileges somewhere else?

Hey There,

We have disabled design options for several reasons related to the compatibility of our own elements within the theme. If you want to utilize design options then you will need to use the native VC elements / a vanilla version of the VC plugin excluding our native elements.
