WP site down

Hi, my WP site is down, I can’t log in, I’m getting " Fatal error : Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /home/customer/www/digitalflowseo.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-dependencies.php on line 260"

I talked to my host (Siteground) and they say it’s due to the incompatibility of the new Cornerstone version with the latest WP core.
They told me to talk to you - can you please help or give me some pointers?

Hello @danielprague,

Thanks for writing to us.

It seems that it is an issue of PHP memory limit issue Please have a look at this article to learn more about how to get rid of it.

Thanks

I worked with the Siteground support. We deactivated the X theme and activated WP theme 2023. Then I wanted to update the X theme so I activated it and now I’m back at " Fatal error : Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /home/customer/www/digitalflowseo.com/public_html/wp-includes/script-loader.php on line 845" and can’t log in again, the site is down.
Sitegroung support say the issue is not on WP or Sitegroung side.
How do I update the X theme?

Hi Daniel,

I would request that you delete the existing X theme and Cornerstone and reinstall it by downloading from your Themeco Account. If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel credentials to access the files.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Thank you, I tried repeatedly but it keeps failing. I’m getting “installation failed, the .css file with cascade styles is missing”.

Hello Daniel,

It seems that you have not given the hostname in the FTP. Please contact your hosting provider to share the FTP hostname as well so that we can access your server file or you may share the cPanel login details so that we can check it properly.

Thanks

Oh damn, I’m sorry I forgot to mention what host it is, it’s Siteground, the cpanel is accessible through Websites/Site Tools.

Hi Daniel,

I have updated the X and Cornerstone to their latest versions, and it is working fine.

Thanks

it crashed again.
I activated some plugins I was using before and the site crashed. Now I disabled them but the site doesn’t come back.

Hi Daniel,

The screenshot shows that the Cornerstone is not active, and that is why the shortcodes are showing. I have checked your site and found it is working fine as the Cornerstone is active now. Please let us know if you are still facing the same issue.

Thanks
