WP reports SSL issue when the 'Under Construction' plugin is active

Hello,

Forgive me if this has already been addressed !

I have been working on setting up my new testing webserver, and recently installed Let’s Encrypt to get secure functionality.

It installed fine, but after I installed X theme on the latest version of Wordpress, I am getting an SSL error from WP’s “Site Health” feature. The moment I activate X’s “under construction” plugin I get this message:

There are problems with the HTTPS connection of your website

Your website is set up to use HTTPS, but your website appears to be unavailable when using an HTTPS connection.

Talk to your web host about resolving this HTTPS issue for your website.

If I deactivate the Under Construction plugin, the message goes away.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Many thanks for any help or insights!

Lance

Hello Lance,

Thanks for writing in!

To get your issue resolved, please do the following:
1.) In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Settings > General and make sure that your Site URL and WordPress Address URL are using https.
2.) In most cases, you have uploaded the images prior to your Let’s Encrypt installation. Please go to the Plugins section and install a “Search and Replace” plugin. You will have to search for http:/example.com/wp-content/uploads/ and replace it with https:/example.com/wp-content/uploads/. (example.com needs to be replace with your actual domain name)

If this is NOT helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
- Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

Best Regards.
