Hi, this file is loading but empty. And therefore slowing down my site. Do you know how I stop it loading?
wp-content/themes/x/style.css?ver=1 -> this file is preloading but not being used. Any idea how I stop if preloading?

We are not clear from where the mentioned file is coming. Are you using any minification plugins, is so please deactivate it temporarily and check if that resolves your problem or not. If that does not, there might be some different reasons behind your reason. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.
