Wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/utility/element-api.php on line 210 after update

I’ve seen quite a few threads about this and actioned all the recommended steps

  • WordPress is fully up to date
  • Theme X is up to date
  • All plugins are up to date
  • All plugins deactivated to check for conflict
  • increased php memory size to 512 (as Cornerstone page editing stopped working after the update but its now working again.
  • checked that I’m not using any caching plugins or DNS services

I’ve tracked the error down and it only occurs on pages where the section uses a background image and in those cases the background image fails to load.

In CornerStone when I’m editing a page the image shows in the ‘BACKGROUND LOWER LAYER’ panel on the left but not on the page preview to the right.

I’ve tried deleting the row and adding it again, I can add the image in the panel, no problem, but it won’t show on the preview page and throws the error on the live site.

Any ideas …

Any suggestions…?

OK! I think I finally tracked this down. Whoever made this site created a Child Theme which included all the original X Theme files so CornerStone could update but X could not as it was always calling everything from the child.

Now I’ve only put specific files that have been changed in the Child Theme it looks like it is working!

Hey Tim,

We are just glad that you have figured it out a way to correct the said issue.
Thanks for letting us know!

Best Regards.
