Wp Block editor Youtube Embed not working and weird formatting on a row/column on another post

Hi all,

I am developing an updated version of an existing website, using the same Themeco Pro (and I have done this implementation before on a few other websites, where I use Themeco Pro to layout the post, and Block Editor to layout the actual content without issue).

However for some reason in this staging site (in secure note), the youtube embed is not working.

And there is also a weird formatting on one post in particular where its not respecting the row and column layout only on the first item in the list (linked in secure note too).
NOTE: this post though was built using Cornerstone as it needs more flexibility with its internal styling rather than the block editor.

If you’re able to help with either of these that would be greatly appreciated.

For further clarity I ran troubleshooting tests, and it seems to be an issue specifically with the Themeco Pro theme in this case, not specifically a plugin issue. Something is not translating correctly (and yes caching and any optimisation plugins where offline too).

Hi @IPA_tech,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the post and found that the Youtube block has been used along with the Youtube iframe embed code. The YouTube block is not recognizable in the Cornerstone and as you are using a Single Layout for the posts, that is why it is showing the URL only. Removing the YouTube block will resolve the problem.
For the formatting problem, the featured image size has been set to 800px and that is why it is showing small. I would suggest you adjust the width and use a larger image to fit into the screen.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi Tristup.

Thank you kindly the weird thing is im using a similair layout on our main website (secure note attached), where we are using a mix of the classic editor (on older posts that were left as is), block editor (for most new posts), and on rare occasion cornerstone (mostly for static pages).

But in saying that the youtube embed from WP Blocks works fine there.

So my question is how does it work on our main website, but not on this one?

Hi All,

Just checking in to see if anyone is able to answer this one

OEmbed was disabled in your theme options. I think that was the only issue, but let us know if we can help you on anything else. Have a great day.
