WP Bakery PageBuilder Update Problem

Hello support,

since the last update 6.6 of WP Bakery PageBuilder the view in the backend has changed, codes appear and this is the second time this has happened. What can I do?

Example:

[vc_masonry_media_grid element_width=“6” gap=“10” grid_id=“vc_gid:1608111449976-f912dd8c73733f0cc69e0cbcbffea19e-0” include=“370,369”][line id="" class="" style=""]

[gap size=“20px” id="" class="" style=""][vc_btn title=“Film: 50 Jahre ASGB” style=“gradient-custom” gradient_custom_color_1="#f13c20" gradient_custom_color_2="#f13c20" shape=“square” size=“lg” align=“left” i_icon_fontawesome=“fa fa-film” add_icon=“true” link=“url:https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FZj1NBEv1bDM||target:%20_blank|”]

Thanks a lot
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks for reaching out.
There might be some different reasons behind your reason, I would like to suggest troubleshoot the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

Hello @mediamacs,

The given credentials do not work for us. Please double-check it.
In the meantime, please do check the WPBakery Page Builder > General Settings > Legacy X Integration. Enable or disable it and test your site again.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hello support,

the Legacy X Integration did nothing. I changed the credentials, please try again.

Thanks a lot
Wolfgang

Hello @mediamacs,

This sounds like a 3rd party plugin is causing the issue. Can we put your site under construction mode so that we can disable the plugins one by one to find out which one is causing this issue. We just want to make sure that there is no JS script coming from 3rd party plugin that prevents the grid from loading.

Please let us know.

Hello support,

how long does it take and when can you start?

Hey There,

troubleshooting will most likely take 10-30 minutes depending on how quick we’re finding the issue. Is that alright for you?

Hello,

if you have time, you can start right now.

Thanks a lot
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

I have checked the pages and posts of your website and didn’t find the issue you described. If you are facing the same issue, I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Page URL where you are having this issue
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hello support,

I made a live site where you can troubleshoot freely. I put the credentials in the secure note.

Thanks a lot
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

We can’t access your website WP admin, please see the secure note for more information.

Thank you.

Hello support,

sorry now it should work.

Thanks
Wolfgang

Hey Wolfgang,

It is still behaving the same. It redirects to the page with an Error 404 message.

Please double-check.

Hello support,

I deactivated the „WPS Hide Login“ Plugin, now it should work, please try again.

Thanks a lot
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,

I have checked your settings already. Also on my end, the grid is displaying with no issue. This is what I am seeing.

Please clear your browser cache or at least use private browsing mode and test your site again.

Best Regards.

Hello support,

the issue is not on the frontend, but in the backend at the Home site.

Wolfgang

Hey Wolfgang,

It looks like you’re having the same issue as in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur6pO1YrykQ. The solution is in the video as well.

Hope that helps.

Hello support,

it’s not the same issue as in the video, I tested the solution before, but nothing changed. In the video it didn’t show the widgets anymore, but in my case the widget are displayed with shortcodes inside. What should I do next?

Thanks
Wolfgang

Hey Wolfgang,

It’s not exact, yes, but the solution or idea is the same. You need to remove the wrapping text shortcodes.

Regretfully, there is no automated way to fix this but to revert to a working version of your site and avoid the cause of this issue which is also mentioned in the video.

Thanks.
