WP All ACF Import seems triggers Bulk Extension Manager

I have a very strange problem here.

On a fresh local WordPress 6.8.1 and Theme Pro (tested with 6.6.5 and 6.5.16) installation I activate your ACF extension.
After that I install WP All Import Pro. (https://www.wpallimport.com/)
Works as expected.
Now when I install the additional WP All ACF Import Pro plugin (to import things into ACF) everything uploads fine.
But on activation of this last plugin it seems as it somehow triggers your Bulk Extension Manager and installs ALL Themeco extensions at once.

I’m not sure which system is the source to this behavior. So I have to start somewhere asking.

Do you have any idea what this could be triggering the installation of all Themeco plugins?
Or maybe you have an idea for a quick workaround, like disabling the Bulk Extension Manager, if this is possible at all?

Hello @Raye,

This is the first time we hear about this issue. We recommend that you clone your site in a staging site and we will try if we can replicate the issue again. You can create a secure note in your next reply along with the following info:
– Link to your Staging site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
– Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel, thank you for investigating on this.

I created and used WP Staging Pro to create a backup just before the Plugin WP All Import - ACF Add-On Pro gets activated. I was able to reproduce the installation of all extensions multiple times thanks to this backup. This should make things easier for you to test.

Feel free to do any changes. This WordPress site is only for reproducing this bug.

If you want to use the WP Staging Backup visit the Backup section https://pro.pyropixel.de/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpstg_backup and restore the backup called Pre WP All Import ACF Pro Activation (use the blue Action button and select Restore). After restoring, you only need to go into the list of Plugins and click activate on WP All Import - ACF Add-On Pro to reproduce the error.

When the error occurs, I do get a timeout on the web server, most probably due to the many installation scripts that get fired. When the error screen pops up, you can visit the WordPress dashboard manually again, and you will see the Themeco Extensions have been installed.

Hello Raye,

I have logged in to the staging site. Even just opening the ACF plugin settings, triggers an error and when you go back to the dashboard, all plugin extensions seems installed. I even reset back the staging to the Pre WP Import backup and then disable the WP All import while activating the WP All Import - ACF Add-On Pro. Still, the issue exist. Could you please zip the WP All Import - ACF Add-On Pro so we can also try this in our local testing server? Maybe you can send the ziup file over Dropbox so we can install it in our lolca test server and investigate further.

Thanks.

Sure. Find the link in the secure note.

Hello @Raye,

I was able to replicate the issue on my local testing server. As soon as you activate the plugin, it automatically installs all the plugin extensions that we have in our Themeco repository. I believe that this is a bug. I have already forwarded this thread to our developers for further investigation.

Please bear with us.

@ruenel Thank you for investigating on this!

You are most welcome, @Raye.
