WP admin is breaking and no answer from hosting platform

Strange issue occuring on wp-admin.
I use Flywheel to host the website.
I have downloaded a back up of my site and and works using Local.
I uploaded direct from local to my staging site, and that too works.
When I push the back up to my live site, the same paths break and wp-admin stops working.

Flywheel support doesn’t have a solution for me and asked if you could take a look.

Here is their response to me at this point:

Not really sure what is up here. I was able to replicate that pulling the site on local seems to work, but pushing that same version to staging and the issue persists. Since you grabbed an older copy maybe an update broke?

The only difference with local and live server is the Core Files path. Its symlinked on the server for security. So any path changing may be on the Theme, as soon as you swap themes the Gutenberg Editor works.

Would you be able to ask the Theme developers for their insights on this?

Adding login info in a secure message so you can take a look. TIA!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out.

I have investigated the issue and found that the CSS files inside the wp-admin directory are not accessible , which is why the admin area is failing to load the required styles. This is usually caused by some form of restriction — either in the .htaccess rules , Cloudflare security settings , or another firewall/security layer blocking those files.

I recommend checking your .htaccess file first to ensure no rules are preventing access to admin CSS/JS assets. If everything looks normal there, please contact your hosting provider to verify whether any server-level or security settings are blocking these files from loading.

Hope this helps.
Thanks!
