WP 6.2 Issue - After Using Fix Sites Come Up With Error Message When Editing

Hi, ever since I’ve used the WP 6.2 issue fix, when trying to edit a page in Cornerstone, it keeps coming up with an error message saying:

Uh oh! Details helpful to Themeco support can be found in the browser’s developer tools console.

So now if I want to make any changes, I have to keep saving after every single thing I do and then refresh the page, otherwise I get the error message. As you can appreciate this adds on a lot of extra time to anything I try to do. This didn’t happen before the fix, so I know it’s a result of doing that.

This happens with both Pro and X versions. I’ll put the login details of one of the sites it keeps happening to in a secure note. The site is using v8.2.3. I do not want to update to the latest version, as I tried it previously with one of my other sites and it threw out the structure of the site and I had to revert back to the previous version, so I am waiting for the next release when hopefully the glitches/issues with it have been sorted.

Thanks for writing in! The X theme version (v8.2.3) that you are using has not been tested to work with WordPress 6.2, or PHP 8.0 and the latest jQuery version. Kindly clone your site to a staging site and then use the latest version of the theme. We can do further troubleshooting in the staging area instead.

Hi @ruenel,

I’ve just updated the theme and luckily it hasn’t effected the styling. It might be due to it being X and not Pro, as on a site that I’m using the Pro theme on, after updating it, it threw the design out!

I checked the site it seems that you are using the X theme now and the cornerstone page builder is working fine at the moment, in case the issue still persists with the X/Pro theme I would suggest you copy your live site to the staging server and share the admin credentials with FTP so that we check it with breaking your live website. If you have no idea about how to clone the live site to the staging server, please have a look at this article.
