Hi there,

Please advise on what would be the best way to work with theme X, populate content, do the testing etc without going live.

Will this prevent Google from tracking and recording our work in progress and showing it in Google search?

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, if you’re developing the site locally of course Google wont track it, but don’t worry about much of that, on development stage just focus on finishing your site / completing the content so you can launch it.

I’d advice you setup a Virtual Host so you can have the actual domain name as opposed to have a localhost or 127.0.0.1. It will save you time in launching your site to live later.
