Wordpress video way too big width

I’m using the standard WordPress editor and I’m uploading a video from WordPress media library.

The video default size dimensions is 367px width but when I check the page the video is way bigger in width than the real dimensions of the video. Why and how is this possible and how can I change it to be the correct dimensions in my blog posts?

Thanks.

Thank you. But I think it’s a general issue. I have test this with another site as well. Maybe you can test it yourself on your own website?
Just upload a video to WordPress and use the standard embed WordPress option to embed that video. It’ll be bigger than the dimensions of the video. I’ll leave a link below of the video I’m using for this so you can use this one as well.

Hi @djinnie,

I have used the WP EMBED to add the same video in my local environment and the video is shown in the correct dimensions.

If you are still having the issue, please provide any video that helps us to recognize the problem.
Thanks

Can you share a screenshot of the settings of that video?

Do note, I’m not using WP embed. I’m using Video. The reason is is because I’m using the video settings to loop the video and I don’t want to see video playback controls.

Hello @djinnie,

The WordPress video does not allow you to set a width of the video and will just display with the same width as its container. It is best that you add a column first:

And then you can insert the video in one of the columns:

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know how it goes.
