Hi,

I’ve updated my staging site to the newest versions of wordpress and pro.

I seem to be having an issue with creating new pages, when I add a new page, I create a title then hit publish before going into the pro builder. However, I constantly get a publishing failed error. It will not work.

Another question about the update, how do you add categories and tags to a post?

And lastly, how can I get rid of this gutenburg update and go back to the old post and page editors?

Please find my answer below.

I seem to be having an issue with creating new pages when I add a new page, I create a title then hit publish before going into the pro builder. However, I constantly get a publishing failed error. It will not work.

I can see there are lots of third-party plugins installed in the site. There might be a compatibility issue with any of your plugins. To check this please test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
