Wordpress Page Displays in French and Conerstone gives plugin conflict error

Hi our webpage is showing the page in French (https://vcs-sa.co.za/creative-studios-2/) and when we try to use “cornerstone” builder to change the page it gives an error that the preview couldn’t load, It only happened recently, somewhere on Monday the 14/10/2019. We need help to fix the pages.

Attached below are the errors and screenshot of the page in French.

Hi Vertex,

Thanks for reaching out.

This doesn’t seems to be related to translation or cornerstone, as upon checking, there are resources that aren’t loading (404) hence, the builder will not really load.

Would you mind providng your Admin login credentials, and FTP login credentials in the secure note for further checking? I like to verify the existence of those files. If they exists and just returning 404 then it’s security related and you would need to contact your hosting provider to disable it or white list those files.

Thanks!

Hi Vertex,

Thank you for the credentials, the /wp-admin login works but not the FTP, it seems to be pointing to an empty directory. Please check so we can take a closer look.

Anyways I investigated the issue, and there seems to be an issue with W3 Total Cache, I would suggest uninstalling the W3 Total Cache at this point, please follow the instruction provided here.

Also, the Wordpress is giving notice that your .htaccess is not writable, so you need to put that mod_rewrite rules manually on your .htaccess via FTP. You can see this notice and the mod_rewrite rules under Settings > Permalinks.

It is important to resolve that W3 Total Cache issue first because it seems all the errors on your site are related to caching.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi Freich,

I have changed the FTP details in the secure Note, so the Details should be working now

I have manually added the code in the .htaccess, and disabled W3 Total Cache, but the problem still persists on https://vcs-sa.co.za/services-1/.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to speed up the process further.

Hi @Vertex,

Quite weird, I can verify the cache plugin is now inactive. But, when viewed on actual codes, it’s still there

The date of last cache is Oct 15, and it’s now 24-25th.

I have disable the plugins with no luck and I don’t see any cache plugin either. For this, I recommend reaching out to your hosting provider if there are any cache, usually memcache or pagspeed.

Thanks!
