WordPress Image Resize Not Working

Hi there,

I’m having an issue where the resizing of images on blog posts is not showing up on the live page. I’ve been in touch with Ezoic who handle the speed optimization of the site and my hosting provider and both are saying I need to seek support from the theme developer. So here I am - I’ve just purchased a year of product support.

See screenshot example of an image made smaller in the back end and then see how it always goes full width on the live site, making it look huge.

Are you able to help?

Hey @mhenshall,

It looks like you’re using the Block editor. Regretfully, we do not provide support for the Block editor. But, you can check if our theme is causing this issue by deactivating it and testing if the issue persists. If it does persist, that means a plugin or a custom code is causing the issue. If the issue is fixed with our theme deactivated, you can report it to us and we’ll list this case for investigation if it’s a bug.

Thanks.

OK, thanks for replying. I suppose I’m going to have to create a staging site to test this as I can’t just switch themes. Also though: I paid to extend my pro support with you guys for a year, but can’t see any confirmation. See screenshot attached. It said I would hear by email, but I got nothing.

Can you check please.

Hi @mhenshall,

Can you send an email to info@theme.co on your subscription problem.

Thanks

Just done that now.

I just tested a standard wordpress theme (2024) on a staging version of the site, and the image resizer still doesn’t work. So I suppose that rules out the theme and also Ezoic Leap, as the staging site doesn’t have leap working on it, of course.

If you have any other ideas, I’d be grateful.

Thank you,
Marc

…Update: don’t worry, I’ve found the culprit. Imigify plugin.

Hi @mhenshall,

Glad that you were able to find the reason.

Thanks
