WordPress fatal error

Hi there,

I am working on a staging site to update everything and I received this fata error from WordPress attached at the bottom of this message. Please advise. Directly below are my specs:

  1. The website is https://www.jonathanwhitecpa.com/jw-staging-7-20-21/

  2. Updated to Pro theme 4.3.3
Plugins are all updated or deactivated

  3. on PHP version 7.4.21

  4. 301 .htaccess redirect is not enabled because I am using a staging site

  5. WP Staging disabled the cache because it is in staging mode right now

  6. Currently Active: On WordPress 5.8, WP Staging Optimizer 1.5.1, Contact Form 7 5.4.2, Essential Grid 2.0.9.1, Really Simple SSL 5.0.3, SSL Content Fixer 2.7.2, WP Staging 2.8.5

Here is the error I am getting from wordpress below, is this nothing to worry about because of what the WP staging plugin is doing?

FATAL ERROR:
In this case, WordPress caught an error with your theme, Pro.

First, visit your website (https://www.jonathanwhitecpa.com/jw-staging-7-20-21/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.jonathanwhitecpa.com/jw-staging-7-20-21/jw-staging-7-20-21/wp-admin/customize.php?theme=pro&return=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jonathanwhitecpa.com%2Fjw-staging-7-20-21%2Fwp-admin%2Fthemes.php) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:

WordPress version 5.8

Current theme: Pro (version 4.3.3)

PHP version 7.4.21

Hi @PWhite2,

Thanks for reaching out!

I don’t see this as a known issue of using Pro. There could be some reason why it is happening on your install, it could be that the theme installed is corrupted. I suggest that re-install the theme, please download the latest version in your themeco dashboard and the following the steps below.

  • Activate another theme
  • Delete the Pro
  • Upload the updated version of Pro and activate.

Only if none of that helps, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thank you.
