Wordpress 5.5 Update Issues - Followed instructions on knowledge base article still not working

I am currently running x. I updated to the new word press 5.5. Once I did I’m having front end and back end problems.

I followed all the instructions about testing compatibility with plugins etc. and I’m still having the same problem.

It’s def. the theme bc when I switch to another theme the problem does go away.

Front end:

  1. The background for my header disappeared
2.My buttons are all shrunk and have no text (look like orange blobs) Screen Shot Below

Back End:

  1. In the editor in the back end words are overlaying on top of each other and it’s just not working correctly - screen shot below - see far left side

  1. The homepage for the x theme within my dashboard is messed up as well (see screen shots below)

Any help would be much appreciated. I’m not really sure where to go next.

Hello Scott,

Thanks for writing in! Based from your screenshot, you may have been using the latest Cornerstone version 4.2.3 with an outdated X theme. Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.2.3
  • Cornerstone 4.2.3

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.
