Woocommerce zoom preview messed up

I found this thread with code to remove the zoom function:

Following the steps, I’ve added and activated the ChildTheme, but I don’t know how to access the “functions.php” file to insert the provided code.

You can edit your functions.php file under Wordpress Dashboard > Appearance > Editor:
