Woocommerce Review Stars Missing When using Cornerstone Tabs

Hi,

I have a Cornerstone Woocommerce Single layout which makes use of the Cornerstone Tabs element. The tabs are used to tabulate the product Description, Additional Information and Reviews.

On the Reviews tab, I have one rendering issue. The form for adding a new review has a rating dropdown, rather than the review stars.

If I disable the layout and use the default Woocommerce layout, the stars are displayed instead of the dropdown. When I reassign the layout, the stars disappear and are replaced by the dropdown rating field.

How can I make sure that only the star rating shows in the layout, please?

Hi,

My apologies. I have reset the password to the same as in the original secure note and tested it.

Hi Christopher,

There might be some different reasons behind your reason. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or third-party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of these help, please copy your live site to a staging server so we can troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note, including:

Hi,

Thanks.

  • This is a development site, so not live.
  • There is no cache enabled.
  • No CDN present.
  • I have disabled all plugins and removed all Cornerstone CSS (no JS present), removed all functions and the same problem arises.
  • The theme is fully up-to-date.

I have the same issue on two eCommerce websites. Previously I know that stars were showing, not the dropdown, but cannot say when the change happened.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hello Christopher,

I have checked your site and I could not replicate the issue. It is showing on y browsing.

  • See the secure note below.

Thanks.

Hi @Ruenel,

Yes, that is what I see. However, maybe I did not make myself clear. What I am look for are the stars in place of the dropdown, as you can see from this screenshot with the default Twenty Twenty Four theme enabled:

I am sure in previous versions of Pro that the stars were default, not the dropdown?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

I have checked your child theme and found that you have overridden the Single Review template and also checked the layout you assigned and found a Row with a Product Review element. The Row is hidden in all the screen sizes and that is creating the problem. If you remove the unused Row, will resolve your problem.

Thanks

Thank you. That has made the difference. Not sure why the hidden sections caused the problem, as they are copies of the visible section, which uses the same content, but in tab layout.

The override template was used during my attempts to sort out the problem, but in fact were identical copies of the plugin file.

Thanks,
Christopher

You are most welcome, Christopher.
