Woocommerce Order Confirmation Issue

Hi there,

I’ve got my site set up on Woocommerce and when a user checks out, there is no confirmation or redirect but the order goes through. Its great that its working, however because there is no change to the page, the user clicks ‘Place Order’ more than once and are double charged.

I have tried adding plugins for a custom thank you page, tried adding php to make it work as well and nothing is working. At all. What am I missing? Surely this isn’t default for Woocommerce and X as it would cause so many problems for people.

I just need an order confirmation after the user clicks ‘Place Order’. Can be a page redirect, and note pop up, a Lightbox… anything!!

Thank you

Hello @KelseyGustafson,

Thanks for writing in!

To resolve your issue regarding checkout redirection, please visit this documentation:

And if you may need a 3rd party plugin, one of these might help:

Hope this helps.

Hi there, I am not looking for anything above and beyond - just a simple note that let’s the customer know that their purchase was successful. I think there must be a default setting that is not working.

Also, I have tried downloading free plugins that are NOT working. If you could help me find the issue, that would be appreciated

Hey @KelseyGustafson,

I’d be happy to help but it is not feasible however to include WooCommerce support on top of our theme support service.

By default, customers of your WooCommerce shop should be directed to the Order Received page upon completing an order as you’ll see in the screenshot below.

If your customers don’t get redirected, there’s probably a problem with your WooCommerce, permalinks or your and/or server setup. Try the solutions suggested here: https://theme.co/docs/common-issues. If none of the solutions help, it’s the WooCommerce support staff that should investigate your settings.

Thank you for understanding.
