WooCommerce layout settings not taking effect

Hi, I have configured my Pro settings for WooCommerce to include several sections, including the product description.

However, when I view a single product, I am not able to see the description on the product. Any ideas?

Hi @sarahwefald,

Thank you for writing in, please see the product on the link below, it has Description and Additional information tab and a Related Products section.

Description tab is referring to the long description of the product.

Additional information tab referring to the Product attributes

If any of these tabs are empty, it will not show up on the product page.

Related Products are products in the same category.

Hi Sarah,

To add the description just under the Product Title you need to add the description into Product Short Description tab.

The standard description area will display a description tab under your product but if you are going to add a short description just follow what my colleague said.

That does help, thanks @cramaton. I thought the problem was that the layout settings weren’t working, but I see now that the issue is that the description isn’t working. That product has a description in the usual place but it is not displaying on the front end. I’ll look around…
