Woocommerce image wrong size + zoom stopped working

Q1: Hi I updated my woocommerce recently and the zoom stopped working. Also there is a message about templates being outdated and to contact theme folks. I’m not sure if this is why.

I updated because I was having problems with the Single Product Page image being smaller than it is supposed to be. After the Woo update, it resolved and then reverted back a few mins later. :frowning:

Q2: I tried to install this https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-private-store-plugin-shop-for-registered-user-only/21967197 to make my Woocommerce shop password protected but it broke the whole site. Is there another way around this?

I have made my listings private but can add an x theme support user to log in, I would just need an email?

Hey @rotipom,

You seem to miss adding the password for the product page.

What is the version of Woocommerce installed on your site? The latest supported version of Woocommerce with X is 3.6.5. We recommend installing a supported version to avoid issues.

We are doing testing whenever a new version is released by the vendor so avoid incompatibility issues.

You can find the latest supported version of the plugins here:

It would be best to get in touch with the developer of the plugin for this issue since our support for Woocommerce customization is limited since this is more specific to the Woocommerce setup.

I just checked and Woocommerce 3.7.0 is the latest version I updated. Hmm…looks like it’s not supported yet. I have already made some product listings so I don’t want to roll back database.

What is the next best way to re-install a supported version?

THanks for the link to supported versions. I couldn’t find it earlier.

One more thing, shipping options and rates all missing. Hopefully this is also an incompatibility issue…

Hi there, okay latest update, I have rolled back to 3.6.5 of woo, latest supported version.
I figured out that I can change the Single Product Page image size so that box is ticked.

The lightbox or zoom still does not work. Which means if I click on a product image, it pulls up an image page by itself, no next and back arrows, and no way to click back to product page unless I use the browser back button.

Also I keep seeing this outdated php everywhere, woocommerce mentions it and when I go to update to Wordpress 5.2.2 it also says I can’t update because I’m using an old version of php. I use an X CHILD theme by the way, not sure if this is why.

How do I fix this? Thanks!

Hello @rotipom,

All of the out dated WooCommerce templates where located in your child theme. These template files were added in your child theme as a customization of how the products and product pages will be displayed. To updated the templates, you can follow this:

And if the designated template has no custom modifications in it, it is wise that you remove the file instead and let the default WooCommerce template or the template file in the theme (if there is) be used.
