Woocommerce + cornerstone

Good afternoon,

I’ve been working on the website for a few days, and this morning the admin panel was working fine until it suddenly stopped.

I’ve deactivated everything (child theme, plugins), and Cornerstone still won’t load.

I’ve spoken with the hosting provider, and they don’t have the REST API blocked, nor do they see anything unusual on the server.

This is the second time this has happened, and it always happens when there’s a WooCommerce site.

Hello @gnomatech,

Thanks for writing to us.

I would request please share the admin login details meanwhile I would suggest you troubleshoot a few of the common issues before we investigate your settings. Please share your details in a secure note. Please provide the following details

Hey @gnomatech,

What page is having an issue? I checked your home page and it’s working fine.

I tried it again this morning and it wasn’t working at all, now it’s working again.

Did you touch anything?

It’s not working again. Closing the GDPR and cookies popup caused it to fail.

Hi @gnomatech,

I have checked in Chrome and other browsers and found that the page is loading correctly in the Cornerstone, but the element is not showing with the settings. Upon further investigation, I found that the Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA plugin is the reason behind your problem.
I would suggest you check with the plugin authors about this. Please remember that we don’t have any control over the 3rd Party plugin code; you need to reach out to the plugin author. And let us know the feedback from them on this.

Thanks

Could you give me a brief description of the problem so I can consult with the plugin developers with more details?

Thanks

Hello @gnomatech,

It seems that the plugin is likely blocking or interfering with JavaScript required by the Cornerstone builder, possibly due to script blocking, consent handling, or script-modification behavior. Could you please check whether the plugin is preventing required JS from loading, or if there is a compatibility issue with Cornerstone’s editor scripts?

Thanks

I completely uninstalled the plugin and installed another one, and the same thing keeps happening…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t!

Hi @gnomatech,

I have re-investigated by deactivating the GDPR plugin you installed, and it seems there is some other reason behind this problem. For further investigation, I would request that you please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi @gnomatech,

Thanks for sharing the staging environment. However, when I tried to activate the GDPR plugin for testing, it triggered a Critical Error , and the site began returning a 403 error.

Could you please provide FTP or cPanel access so I can remove the plugin? Additionally, sharing the error logs would help in identifying the root cause.

Thanks!

I’ve attached the data to the note.

Hi @gnomatech,

The FTP credentials you provided are not working and return a Critical error: Could not connect to server . Could you please check and update us?

Thanks!

Pass error

Hi @gnomatech,

I have activated the GDPR plugin after activating the default theme TwentyTwenty Five, and it shows the same error. It seems that the problem comes with the plugin. I would suggest you contact the plugin author with this, and let us know the feedback.

Thanks

Then the error is the plugin is likely blocking or interfering with JavaScript required by the Cornerstone builder?

Hi @gnomatech,

Yes, that is what we are trying to point.
