WooCommerce Checkout Issues

Hi X - I’m having a few issues with the WooCommerce checkout editor which I just started using today:

  1. Putting apostrophes in my checkout labels results in the accumulation of backslashes in the customization and live page - see screenshot here:

  2. There doesn’t seem to be a way to edit previously entered dropdown menu options?

  3. How can I generate an option with multiple checkboxes?

Many thanks for your help!

Hi atg85,

Thank you for your report:

1- This is a bug, I added this to our issue tracker. Please stay tuned for upcoming releases to have a fix regarding this. You can always check the changelog and see the latest changes about the Woo Checkout Manager plugin.

2- This is a known issue that the edit option section is hidden. We already added this to our issue tracker.

3- Unfortunately there is no way that you can have such a feature in the Woo Checkout Manager plugin.

Thank you.

Hi Christopher - thanks for this update, very appreciated.

I think the point in 3 is VERY important to have as an option. Is it possible to request it?

Hi @alexgingras,

May I know why it needs multiple checkboxes? You can still add them one at the time.

But if you’re referring to grouping option where only one option is selectable, then radio button is recommended for that setup. Checkboxes are for options that can be selected at the same time.

Thanks!

Hi Rad!

The multiple checkboxes was something possible with Poor Guys’ WooCommerce Swiss Knife (but now the plugin is old and unsupported and interferes with X so I had to shut it down).

In our context for the amateur soccer league, it was for people to check in which multiple social events there were interested in: a BBQ, a party, going to see an actual league game.

I didn’t think of using them one at a time like you’ve suggested, that’s a good idea. Is there a way to put some hard-coded text above the checkboxes like this?

“Please select the event(s) you’d like to attend:
( ) BBQ
( ) Party
( ) Soccer game”

Hi @alexgingras

That would require further plugin customization as there is no built in functions like this in the plugin, however, your suggestion is appreciated and I’ll pass this onto our team.

Thanks.

Thanks Alaa!

On behalf of my colleague, you’re welcome!

I’d also like to report two additional issues.

If I go to individual orders, the extra added fields don’t show up with labels in the order. It goes kind of like this

Name:
John Smith

Phone:
(819) 555-5555

(and the extra fields look like this, they have no title label and just appear stacked on top of each other)
1
half
no training

Also I’ve installed Store Export and it’s not picking up the additional fields added by the Checkout Editor as selectable options?

Hey @alexgingras,

A similar concern has been added in our issue tracker also.

I’m not sure about the Store Export. Just note that the Woo Checkout Editor does not have integration with third party plugins.

Thanks.
