Woocommerce Category Pages

Hi

A little new to woocommerce as most of my sites are brochure sites.

I have built a category archive page which will show subcategories of the top level category - perfect.

However, if someone clicks on a sub category, I want to display products within that sub category and if possible use a separate archive page for that to change the design.

What conditions can I use for x theme to know what template to use, currently the top level archive page is using Shop as a condition.

Or do i need to build it all on one archive page e.g if subcategory show products? if so how would i achieve this?

Kind regards

Hello @jcongerton,

Thanks for writing to us.

I noticed you’re using the Pro theme Layout Builder to create a custom archive layout for the shop page. Please note that the shop layout automatically applies to all category and subcategory archive pages, so you don’t need an extra layout for those. If you want a separate layout for specific product categories, create a new WooCommerce Archive Layout and set the condition to target only those product category pages.

Hope it helps
Thanks
