WooCommerce Category Meta Description

Hi there - WooCommerce Meta Description missing -

We use Cornerstone Version 3.5.4 with Theme X Version: 6.5.5 and a custom child theme. When I look at the source code for our Woocommerce categories, I do not see a meta description. Looking in the admin area I do not see a field for entering a meta description either. For example see the source code for https://www.mitegen.com/product-category/cryo-em/.

I did search for the forum and found a few references to meta data and Yoast. But nothing specific to Woo Categories and Meta description.

So, how can we added a meta description to our Woo categories?

Hey Tim,

Thank you for reaching out to us. There are multiple ways to add meta description to your WooCommerce category pages. Easiest of all is to install Yoast SEO plugin, then edit your woo category you’ll see the Yoast SEO box below if you scroll down, under Meta Description title, enter your description (see screenshot)

@Nabeel Thanks for the information. I am very familiar with Yoast, but reading through the forums I thought there was a compatibility issue with Yoast when used with Theme X and Cornerstone? Is that still the case or has that been resolved?

There were come issues but most of them has been addressed in recent updates. I suggest you to install and activate Yoast plugin. In case you face any issues, please create a new ticket and someone from support team will assist you accordingly.
