WooCommerce Category in Breadcrumbs

Hi,

We’re using Pro, and have created a custom single product layout for WooCommerce using the Layouts function in Pro. It looks so much better than the default WooCommerce one, but we’re having an issue displaying two features:

(i) we’re trying to display the name of the WooCommerce product category as part of a breadcrumb in the custom layout. We can’t find a shortcode / hook that can help us do this, and wondered if you knew of one? For instance, might there be a way to amend the breadcrumb block itself to add this customization given that it has a number of dynamic elements?

(ii) this might be out of scope for you, but we’re using WooCommerce Wishlists and this shows up as a button automatically with the default WooCommerce template, but we’re not sure how to get it to show up in the custom layout. Any ideas?

2.) Does the WooCommerce Wishlist provide a shortcode or any code that you can use to incorporate into the layout? Please provide us access to your site so that we can check out this plugin in.

Thanks for the info on the breadcrumbs, we’ll work on that.

WooCommerce Wishlist doesn’t come with a shortcode as best we can tell, we’ve asked the developer.

Here’s the documentation for it.

Hi @nickyker,

The Wishlist button or link has been added through the WooCommerce predefined action hooks while rendering the template, not through the shortcodes. So, it can’t be seen in the custom Layout Builder as you are expecting.

Understand that it’s using hooks rather than shortcodes. We were looking for a solution to work round that. One start would be if you could tell us the naming convention and location for layouts so we can find the relevant php file to work on?
