Woocommerce category appearance & empty cart issue

I hope it’s okay to put these issue in the same post as they are in the same general area.
The 1st is dealing with the appearance of store categories in the X Woocommerce shop. Is there a way to get rid of the tacky highlighting over the product count in each category? There is nothing in Customization or any options to do so in the backend Product Categories.

The other problem is dealing with an empty cart. The text appears 2 times noting that the cart is empty. I’ve never seen this in any store I’ve set up or visited, but it looks like a glitch. Can this be fixed?

Thanks ahead of time!

Hi there,

It’s browser’s default styling for <mark> element Please add this CSS to your global custom CSS

    mark.count {
     background: transparent !important;
    }

Please edit this file through FTP,

/wp-content/themes/x/woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php

and remove this code

 <p class="cart-empty">
    <?php _e( 'Your cart is currently empty.', '__x__' ) ?>
  </p>

Though, you may update your theme first before you do that. Your cornerstone appears to be updated but not your theme.

And if you have child theme then you can move this file /wp-content/themes/x/woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php to /wp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php so the update will not overwrite it.

Thanks!

Thank you so much! It worked like a charm.:smiley:

Thank you so much! I a grateful. The highlight issue cleared right up. My theme was not showing a need for updates, however, going through the FTP channel led to an additional line of <?php do_action( 'woocommerce_cart_is_empty' ); ?> in the coding. I removed it & all is well. Thanks again guys!

You are welcome!
