WooCommerce Archive with Cornerstone Forms and Pagination

Not sure what I am missing but the pagination on archive pages in WooCommerce doesn’t appear to work.

Problem 1.

We have a thousand products in our store. If we click the pagination it loads the next page but then it shows only 500 product results rather than the full 1017 products.

When we go back to page 1 it no longer shows the correct page one products from the original page load.

Problem 2

If we go into a product category archive page the pagination appears to be Ok but when we click the pagination it goes back to the same 500 products as per problem 2 and doesn’t pagination only the products within the product category.

It seems that the given user account does not have administrator privileges, so we cannot access the Plugins and Themes pages. This issue might also be related to caching.

I suggest that you purge all cache from the cache plugin and then temporarily deactivate the cache plugin. I would also recommend deactivating any third-party plugins, activating the Parent Pro theme, and then checking the site again.

I have removed the mu-plugin that prevents people from accessing this unless they are a specific user.

The issue is not with the custom archive or the Cornerstone Form. It appears that you have installed the Relevanssi plugin. Be advised that there is a limit of up to 500 items by default. Kindly check out this documentation:

Thanks. I can see now that Relevanssi is causing both issues.

What I don’t understand is why Relevanssi impacts the paging on the category pages etc. for Cornerstone forms.

If we turn off Cornerstone Forms and just use normal paging then it works fine with Relevanssi.

I can confirm that Relevanssi is indeed the cause of both pagination issues —it makes perfect sense that its default 500-item limit is interfering with the total product count and category-specific pagination when using Cornerstone Forms.

Since the pagination works fine with Relevanssi when Cornerstone Forms are turned off, it seems there is a compatibility conflict between how Relevanssi handles the main query and how Cornerstone modifies it for the archive display. You need to turn off the 500 limit while the Cornerstone Form is active.

Yes, I have tested turning Relevannsi off. I’m just not following why on the category pages, where there are less then 500 products, using the pagination reverts to the full product list and limits to 500 rather than sticking to the list of products in the category.

Please record a video of the issue. I deactivated Relavanssi and I see no issue unlike when Relevanssi is enabled.

I think you misunderstood me. I understand that with Relevannsi off everything works. What I don’t understand is why the Relevanssi Search would impact pagination in the way it does on product category pages.

I.E. when on a product category page why does the paging ignore the category when using Cornerstone Forms.

Regretfully, we cannot answer that as we are not familiar with the Relevanssi plugin. The question should be directed to the Relevanssi plugin support.
