WooCommerce / Archive Layout – Converted to Blank Single Layout?

Hi there – I have noticed an issue with a few websites I’ve built using X Pro / Cornerstone, I can’t say for certain if it’s been something that happened a while ago, or with the WordPress 6.2 update but these sites had their themes updated via FTP. When the WordPress 6.2 problem hit I had to update a bunch of sites and these all were done in the same way I think.

These sites use WC archive layouts but when you go into the pages with them, the default Pro layout shows rather than the previously assigned layout. When launching Cornerstone to find the layout, it doesn’t show in the list of archives but it appears to have moved to Single Layouts, and when you open it in Cornerstone the layout is blank/empty as if it were a new one, and the assignment conditions are missing.

I have also checked and the blog layouts are affected too – this is a bit of a nightmare as there are multiple sites affected by this issue.

Can you please help point me in the right direction?

We are having similar issue. We updated to 6.1.1 and then WordPress 6.2 and now we only have one working layout. Three layouts were missing, but we had exported them and imported them after we updated. We updated the code on a dev server and tested everything, but when we pushed to live, all of the other layouts stopped working.

Hi Ross,

I have checked and found that the Shop Archive layout is coming under the Single Layout and Blog Archive is the only Archive layout showing in the second website listed in the secure note.
I would suggest you deactivate and delete the Pro and update it by downloading the latest version from your Themeco Account. If that does not resolve your problem, please let us know for further investigation.

Meanwhile, I will inform our development team of this for feedback.

Thanks

Hi @tristup thank you for checking for me.

I have updated to the latest version of the theme by uploading it and the issue is not resolved. When I go to the “Shop Archive” it is in the Single Layout (it shouldn’t be in single) and it is also blank/empty.

The other two sites affected have also been updated and the layouts are missing so the problem is the same across the board.

Cheers,
Ross

I would check what data is in your post meta for those layouts in question if you are comfortable looking in the database. Chances are you’ll have to revert to Pro5 to have a successful layout migration. There are some notes here that will help on how to run post type change through Raw database SQLs. This is unfortunately needed in some cases depending on what other plugins are doing. If possible I would restore a Pro5 backup and let us check it out on a staging site. Let us know if you have questions here.
