Woocommerce 5.1 upgrade path

Hello,

The support docs say woocommerce 5.1 is supported. Yet, my update section in wordpress says it will install 5.2 how do I tell it to only upgrade to 5.1 that xtheme supports? What does this upgrade path look like?

Thanks for reaching out.
You can update it to the latest version, but please remember that we haven’t done the compatibility test with the Theme and Plugin versions. Else you can ignore the Update Notice till we update the supported version in the version compatibility page.

Hello - thanks - but that’s the problem. The xtheme never has the latest woocommerce version. So i can’t just “ignore” the upgrade. eventually i have to do it, and just cross my fingers. You see what i mean?

Xtheme upgrades their comp guide to 5.1 woocommerce but woocommerce is at 5.2 Then the next xtheme rolls out and they upgrade it to 5.2 but woocommerce is at 5.3 … . this has been the case for years…

I checked the WooCommerce 5.2.2 version at my local test site it seems that it is working fine at my end. I would suggest you please take a backup of your files and database then update the WooCommerce plugin.

It would be best if you could copying your live website to your staging area. then update the WooCommerce plugin by following this process you can update the plugin easily without breaking the live site and you can test the plugin at your staging server as well.
