WooCommerce < 4.1.0 - Unescaped Metadata when Duplicating Products

This is coming up with my iTheme’s Security.
WooCommerce < 4.1.0 - Unescaped Metadata when Duplicating Products
It shows as a critical error, I looked it up and see it is not actually critical, but my clients only see that phrase :grimacing:
I have not updated any of my clients sites to 4.1.0 as latest version compatibilty says 4.0 for PRO. Can I safely update to 4.1.0 ?? Or better yet, to 4.2? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Hi @Noellemena,

Woocommerce 4.1 is not tested yet with the theme. I did some research about this and you can read this thread. With the information available on the thread, you can then decide if you want to update or not. Just note that the compatible version is still 4.0.

Thank you @lely, I do not like it but I do have the sites locked down. It looks like they would have to have an admin account or shop manager to do something. Any idea when it will become compatible?

There is no ETA for the compatibility. We suggest that you move your website to a staging environment and do the update process. If there is a problem you can get back to us and give the report.

Please mention that it is for extension testing team and they will make sure that check the case scenario on their tests.
