Woo Checkout Editor Extension: Encrypted Fields

Hey there,

We’re using the Woo Checkout Editor extension to add a couple fields in the checkout process and one of those fields is a password field. On the front-end, entered text is asterisked out as it is typed but the information is stored in plain text on the backend. Is there a way secure that data or to encrypt it on the backend?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I have investigated this and I can confirm that the password entry is just plain when saved. Regretfully at the moment, there is no way we can secure. There should be changes made into the coding to secure the password entry. We’ve added this as a feature request so it can be taken into consideration for future development.
