Woo Checkout Editor - Conditional Problems

Hello!

I’m trying to muscle my way through some custom processes by using your checkout field editor. Currently your settings are “If this current field doesn’t say XXXXXX, then hide (other fields).”

Example:

If I set up the conditional exactly as above with a Cash or Credit selection, what happens instead on the frontend is that the payment type selection field disappears.

Example:

Disabling the conditional option entirely brings the field back.

Example:

This either limits what can be accomplished through a form and forces phone calls to clients, OR I would end up with a pretty gnarly form with tons of fields that need complex “do not fill out unless…” instructions or similar. I’d like to use your plugin, so if you can show me if I’m doing something wrong here (or do a bug-fix update if it turns out it’s on your end) that’d be awesome.

Thank you for your time,
-Jake

Hi @medinacom,

Thanks for reaching out.

Looks like a bug, I’m adding this to our issue tracker. For the meantime, I recommend using Woocommerce own’s payment method, do not collect any credit card information using this plugin. This only adds data to the order and shouldn’t use to store sensitive information related to payments.

Thanks!

Fair point to make for this post, but have no fear; this is a totally-not-PCI–compliant temporary implementation. It works well to illustrate the issue at hand though.

Might you have an approx. timeline for a fix?

Hi @medinacom,

Thanks for writing back. While we can’t share our specific development timelines on anything, we certainly want you to rest assured that we have noted this and will work to get to it when possible as we work through other items in our development queue. You can keep up with the latest releases and what has been added/changed/fixed at our changelog: https://theme.co/changelog/

Thanks!
