Woo Checkout Editor - Add Field with Link to Policy Page

I’m trying to add a checkbox via the Extra Fields feature in Woo Checkout Editor plugin, however when I enter the hyperlink () in the Label field of the Add Field page, there are escape characters added to the link, resulting in the hyperlink not working.

How do I add a field with a hyperlink in the label via Woo Checkout Editor plugin?

Link to checkout page: https://bestbudseedbank.com/checkout/
Note: you may need to add a product to the cart and then checkout to view this page.

Thanks

Hi John,

Thank you for writing in, you can not add HTML on the input box because that is going to be sanitize

Instead of creating a custom field, please use the native WooCommerce feature. If you navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced you will see a Terms and conditions field, set a page there and WooCommerce will add that “I have read and agree” checkbox on the checkout.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

I changed the Terms and Conditions page on the WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced page. The checkbox and link was added, however when I click the link it opens up an iframe of the home page. When I right click and open in new tab it opens the correct Terms and Conditions page.

Ideally, when this link is clicked, I’d like it to open the Terms page in a new tab, but at the very least, if it loads in an iframe by default, I need it to load the correct page.

Thanks,
John

I just switched the page to a regular Wordpress page instead of a Pro/Cornerstone page and that fixed it, however it seems like this is a bug that should be addressed in an update.

Hi @jgille07,

We’re glad that you’re able to figure it out on your end but I can’t say that this is a bug with the theme because I can’t replicate the issue in my development area. The terms and conditions on the checkout page are just working fine on my end. I suspect that there’s a conflict with the plugin installed on your website.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
