Woo Categories - Missing From Add menu items

Hi there - I wanted to add a recently created Woo Category to our header menu.

I went to appearence -> Menus -> Choose (Header Menu (Primary Menu). Then I looked over to the left under Add Menu Items looking for the dropdown which would contain the Woo Categories. I looked under each item and did not see the option to add a product category. Then I used the search function under each option and it did not find the new category.

I then visited another website I manage which does NOT use Theme X / Cornerstone. Its a Woocommerce site as well. If I visit the menu section at that website, there is a Product categories section to choose from.

See the included image. On the left is what I see within our Themeco X/Cornerstone site and on the right is what I see in the non Themeco X/Cornerstone site.

I could use the custom link to add the menu item, but that doesnt address the missing Woo Categories within the Add Menu Items area. I did do a few tests deactivating a few plugins without noticing any difference.

We are using Theme X version 6.5.5, a custom child theme, Cornerstone Version 3.5.4, and Uber Menu Version 3.6.0.1

Hi Tim,

Thank you for writing in, I have tested this on my end with X 6.5.6 / CS 3.5.5 and PRO 3.0.2. And on both test, I got the Product Categories.

Please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

And please make sure your Wordpress and WooCommerce are on the latest version.

If you have a child theme, please check that as well you might have a customization that is causing this issue.

Hi @friech - Thanks for that information. Just before I started to test using your criteria, I googled around and found this article https://wellmadewebsite.co.uk/adding-woocommerce-product-categories-ubermenu/

I checked screen options and products categories was not checked. I checked it and then the Product categories appeared under Add menu items.

Knowing that it appeared for you was helpful in troubleshooting.
