Woff2 Fonts Issues

Hi,

I am using pro with ethos.

I always having woff2 font warnings in performance
And I tried many ways but not fixed.

Please let me know what’s the best way to fix it for better performance.

Thanks for writing in! It seems that you are using WP Rocket. Before doing any testing, always remember to clear all caches since you are using WP Rocket so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

I did same way and cleared cache. but woff2 font issue is always there. its seems like font issue or something.

Hey Razick,

Sorry for the confusion. That is normal if you’re using Google Fonts and we do not have font and stylesheet defer feature currently in our themes because it would use Javascript method which might have adverse effects, browser incompatibility and unwanted display behavior like slow display of font and styles.

With that said, you currently would need optimization plugins that could defer the loading of Google Fonts. Since you’re using WP Rocket, you can ask their support if they have that feature.

I understand the concern about the PageSpeed Insights score. It’s nice to see the green 100 score. But, eliminating the woff2 warning and other performance optimization tweaks currently involves experimental methods that might break your site or cause issues. Users currently would need to do this at their own risk.

We also don’t have instructions for this case so you might want to consult with a web developer to assist you with this.
