Wistia video not displaying

Hi,

I have an embed code from Wistia and although I can see the video in the Pro edit preview, once I publish the video I see only blank space. Please let me know how I can address this issue.

Many thanks

Hi There,

Please provide your URL so we can take a closer look

Thanks!

I’m having the same issue. Site is at https://www.connectall.com/resources/videos/

Hi there,

Please try adding your Wistia video within text or raw element instead of content area element. Or, with the video embed element.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

It is now currently working in raw element.

FYI, I had the embed code in the video element prior to this for quite a while and it worked reliably. It now does not work in Video, Content or Text. I even tried embedding some part of the JS on the page level in case any part of the script was getting stripped on save. That didn’t work either.

Hi there,

The only element now which does not strip the HTML content and you can use that for sure is the Raw Content element. The Video Embed element is mostly suitable for iFrame based video controls.

Thank you.

Hi, I don’t want to publish it empty, though. I can see the video working fine in the preview mode but not once on the site. Let me play around with the raw option and let you know if I have any more issues.

Let us know how it goes.

Yes it works now, thanks.

As a follow up question, I have set the width of the video but it keeps scaling up to 100% of the content area - https://manuelmartinez.biz/speaking - any recommendations to keep the video to the width I have specified?

Hello There,

The video size is exactly displaying the width it has specified to as 1200px by 657px.

Please edit your embed code or change the embed code and use a smaller video dimension.

Please let us know how it goes.

Darn - must have missed that completely. Sorry about that, let me have a look and see what I can do to sort it. Thanks a lot

You’re welcome!
