We’re having troubles with Customizing the Widgets, usually there will be elements that would show on the sidebar image like “custom HTML, etc.” & pencil icon next to the widgets section (refer to photo 1 below).
We tried to edit today, however nothing was showing on the widgets tab as shown on the photo

The Widget area is now using the Block Editor and that might be the reason behind your problem. I have checked my local environment but was unable to replicate the issue. Can you please please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
